This is an excellent but simple instructional video showing you how to tie the Pratt tie knot. The Pratt Knot is also known as the

Shelby Knot, although it was, in fact, invented by Jerry Pratt of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, although it did not gain fame until about 20 years later when it was worn on-air by T.V. personality Don Shelby. The Pratt Knot requires less length than either of the Windsor Knots thereby making it particularly suitable for short ties,

and it ends up perfectly symmetrical unlike the Four-in-Hand.
