Coconut Oil – The Natural Moisturizer
Coconut oil is extremely healthful. It contains essential fatty acids your skin needs. It is anti-bacterial and anti-fungal, which helps your skin to get rid of harmful toxins. You can use it in one of two ways:
- Cleanser – The anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties leave your skin clean and refreshed. You can use it to remove your makeup before using regular facial cleanser. It’s also a great cleanser, all on its own.
- Moisturizer – Use coconut oil in place of your standard moisturizer for more hydration and less water loss. This leaves you with soft, supple skin.
Make sure the coconut oil is unrefined and preferably organic for best results.
Aloe Vera – The Miracle Plant
You may have heard that Aloe Vera is a soothing gel for burns. However, it also does wonders to your skin. It helps fight against aging, eczema, and dry skin. It’s chock-full of antioxidants that help your skin look and feel its best.
All you need is an aloe vera plant leaf and some lemon juice. Once you drain the juice off the leaf, add a few drops of lemon juice. Rub the mixture on your face, using soft, circular motions. Let it sit for at least 15 minutes. Then rinse it off with warm water.
You’ll immediately be rewarded with soft, glowing skin.
Exfoliate With Baking Soda
Baking soda does more than just help you make delicious cookies. It’s rough properties make it a great exfoliator. Taking some soda and water. If you want to give it a little boost, you can add a drop of cleanser.
Simply mix the baking soda with water and/or soap and rub it in circular motions on your face. Apply closely to areas that need extra attention. Once you cover your entire face, rinse the mixture off your face in a few minutes.
Baking soda also makes a great exfoliator for other parts of your body, including your feet and elbows, especially during the winters.
You Can Also Try Oats
Oats are another great option to exfoliate. They help scrubbing off the dead layer of skin. You can use oats alone or mix them with honey or lemon. Both have plenty of antioxidants and are anti-bacterial. They will cure pesky pimples while helping you fight the signs of aging.
Start by mixing the oats with warm water. Let them sit for about 5 minutes. Once you have a paste, you can add honey and lemon juice, if you wish. Rub the mixture on your face in slow and even circular strokes. Once you cover your entire face, rinse them off.
You can follow up with a natural moisturizer, such as coconut oil to enhance your skin’s moisture.
Olive Oil to Enhance Your Skin’s Glow
Olive oil isn’t just good for your diet. It’s also great for your skin. Did you know Cleopatra also used olive oil on her skin? Olive oil mimics our skin’s property more than any other oil.
Olive oil, much like coconut oil, is high on antioxidant content and essential fatty acids. It can help fight pimples and reverse the aging process.
Simply rub the olive oil in your hands to warm it up, then rub it all over your face. Next, take a warm washcloth and press it against your face. You will feel it soothing.
After a few minutes, rinse the oil off your face and pat dry with a clean, dry towel.
Egg Whites and Honey for Brighter Skin
Egg whites help shrink your pores. This helps fight the aging process and leaves your skin less susceptible to damage. Honey has antibacterial and antifungal properties that help fight skin damage. Together they make a great pair to glowing skin.
Separate the egg white and yolk. To egg white, add 1 teaspoon of honey. Mix well and apply to your face. Let it sit for at least 15 minutes. Rinse it off with warm water and apply moisturizer for a radiant skin.
Yogurt and Cucumber Make You Look Younger
Yogurt helps pores tighten up and dead skin to dissolve. Cucumber helps fight inflammation and redness.
Chop or grate the cucumber as finely as you can. Add it to about 2 tablespoons of yogurt. Mix it up and apply the mixture to your face. Let it sit on your face for 10 minutes and remove with cool water.
Blot dry your face and moisturize it with coconut oil for smooth, glowing skin.
