How to Grill Corn on the Cob (takes about 15 minutes)

Corn on the cob is a very easy vegetable to grill, you just need a grill, some aluminum foil, butter, salt, and pepper (or whatever other spices you want to use). Preheat your grill as shown below then put them in, takes about 15 minutes total (you do have to turn them once). Something you can try if you want is “soaking” the corn (some people like to do this, others don’t): what you do is place the

corn in cold water for about 20 minutes to let the kernels soak up as much moisture as possible, this causes the corn to be sort of “steamed” at the same time that it’s being grilled. One modification I would make to the recipe I’m going to show you below is this: I would put olive oil on the

corn before grilling it instead of butter, then grill it, and then rub butter on it once it’s done and hot–I think butter should be added after the corn is cooked since it’ll get almost completely cooked off in the grilling process if you put it on before. Alright, here’s what to do:

If you’re a barbecue nut like me I highly recommend you get a book called How to Grill: The Complete Illustrated Book of Barbecue Techniques by Steven Raichlen–my favorite trick that I got from it was inserting a half-full can of beer into the cavity of a chicken: when placed on the grill it simultaneously steams the bird and holds it upright, allowing the skin to grow crisp.
